⚖️ Riders up to 300 lbs — we match you to the right board.
📋 Waiver must be signed before session (sent via email)

🚫 No alcohol or drugs. Operating a motorized vessel while impaired is a federal and state crime
🚫 Not suitable during pregnancy

Here's exactly what happens from the moment you arrive at the lake to the moment you're flying. Times are adjusted for shorter or longer session types.

Arrive & Check In

Meet your instructor at the lake. Your waiver is already signed. No paperwork on the day. Gear up with your helmet and life vest.

0–30 min

Onshore Training

30 minutes of instruction on dry land before you touch the water. This is where most of your success is built.

Board orientation: how the eFoil works, the remote, safety features
Body position: prone, kneeling, standing
Throttle control: progressive speed, how to stop
Fall technique: how to fall safely away from the board

30–50 min

First Water Time — Prone & Kneeling

Into the water on your stomach first. Get comfortable with the throttle and feel the board come alive beneath you. Progress to kneeling as your confidence builds.

Standing & Flying

LESSON FAQs

Do I need any experience to take a lesson?

Zero experience needed. Our lessons are specifically designed for complete beginners. SiFly boards are among the most beginner-friendly made. If you can do a push-up and stand up from kneeling, you can learn to eFoil.

How long does it take to actually fly?

Most first-time riders achieve sustained flight (board fully lifted from water, standing) within the 60-minute water session. Some take 20 minutes, some take the full hour. Everyone rides on their stomach and knees in the first session, which is genuinely fun even before standing.

Where exactly do lessons take place?

All current lessons are held at Utah Lake, our fully permitted and active home water in Utah County. Willard Bay Reservoir and Pineview Reservoir are permit pending and coming soon. Your exact meeting point at Utah Lake (parking area and launch site) is confirmed in your booking confirmation email. We operate out of a 16-foot enclosed trailer so we're fully self-contained when we arrive.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear a swimsuit or board shorts. You will get wet. We provide helmet, life vest, and all safety equipment. Bring sunscreen, water, a towel, and a change of clothes. Don't bring anything valuable you'd be upset to get wet. Leave jewelry at home.

Can I book for my kids?

Minimum age is 12 years old. Riders under 18 must have a parent or guardian present at all times (not just on-site — actually watching the session). Kids actually tend to pick up eFoiling faster than adults. The SiFly boards have a safety power limit that can be reduced for younger riders.

What's your weather cancellation policy?

Full refund if you cancel 48+ hours before your session. Within 48 hours, or a no-show: a $100 fee. If we cancel for weather, you get a full refund. We monitor conditions and will contact you proactively if we need to reschedule — and you can always take a reschedule instead of the refund if you'd rather.

Can I apply my lesson toward buying a board?

Yes, just book a regular lesson at the standard price. If you decide to purchase a board within one week of your session, we'll apply a credit equal to the cost of a single-person lesson toward your board purchase. We're an authorized SiFly dealer and carry the full lineup.
